Sadie Scheuerman

Grade 3 Teacher

Sadie Scheuerman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Education degree at St. Mary’s University, specializing in elementary education. Prior to completing her education degree, she worked as an education assistant for many years with the Calgary Catholic School District. When she is not teaching, Sadie can be found doing taekwondo with her two boys or escaping to the mountains to reconnect with nature.

Sadie’s favourite education quote from Dr. James Comer reflects her passion for making meaningful connections with her students, “No significant learning occurs without a significant relationship.” She achieves this by creating a safe and caring classroom where compassion, vulnerability, resilience, and perseverance are modelled and encouraged. While Sadie loves being an elementary generalist, she especially values any and all opportunities to share her love of literature with students and truly believes in the power of storytelling to teach and enrich lives.

From the first moment Sadie walked through the doors at Tanbridge Academy, she could sense a truly positive school culture. Since joining Tanbridge, she feels incredibly grateful to be part of such a collaborative, supportive, and inspiring team.
