Oskar Kasiuk
Athletic Director/Basketball Coach
Oskar graduated from Lakehead University with a Bachelor of Police Studies and a Bachelor of Education. After obtaining his degree, Oskar began teaching in Canada but soon moved abroad to teach at international schools in Qatar and The Netherlands. Oskar is an avid traveller and enjoys experiencing different cultures. His favourite part of travelling is exploring the area and indulging in local cuisines. On the weekends, Oskar enjoys a balanced lifestyle between playing basketball and watching sports on television.
Oskar’s teaching philosophy is to show unconditional care, being mindful that students are all individual people with their own strengths and needs. There will be good days and challenging days for learning. However, each day a student's character is being built. In partnership with his community, Oskar believes he can use the power of sport as a vehicle to develop balanced global citizens. His passion for teaching stems from being surrounded by positive role models, notably his parents and brothers. During his professional career, Oskar has acquired certificate status as an IB educator specializing in middle years physical health education. Furthermore, Oskar obtained his level two Google Educator status throughout his time working in Qatar.
Oskar values the small community feel that Tanbridge has to offer. Oskar believes in the Tanbridge mission of offering a balanced school day of academics along with athletics to help support a developing mind. Oskar is honoured to be surrounded by positive, hard-working colleagues who make our school community a wonderful place to be. Oskar is excited to be a part of a growing school community and looks forward to enhancing each and every Titan’s sport experience.
