Kindergarten Teacher
Ms. Wilcox is a graduate of the University of Calgary, where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Indigenous Language Revitalization. Her passion for teaching began at a young age, inspired by her parents, who are both long-time educators. Their influence helped foster her commitment to supporting students and creating meaningful learning experiences.
Ms. Wilcox is dedicated to instilling a lifelong love of learning in her students by making the classroom a fun, engaging, and supportive environment. She strives to create a space where students feel excited, curious, and confident in their learning journey. By incorporating students’ interests into lessons, she works to build strong connections between students and the material they are exploring. In her classroom, a strong sense of community is encouraged, with kindness, respect, and collaboration forming the foundation of the learning environment.
Outside of the classroom, Ms. Wilcox enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. She can often be found hiking, skiing, or kayaking. She also enjoys participating in a variety of sports, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, field hockey, and tennis. In her free time, she values spending time with friends and family and enjoys seeking out new experiences that allow her to continue learning and challenging herself.
