Danielle Camp

Educational Assistant

Danielle Camp moved to Calgary in 2005 after beginning her career as an educational assistant in Saskatchewan, where she comes from originally. She has her Educational Assistant certificate from SIAST in Saskatoon and has worked in a variety of classroom settings since beginning her career, including special education, preschool, elementary, and junior high. Danielle spends most of her spare time enjoying activities with her family and friends. Summers are spent at her community lake, paddle boarding and swimming, or camping in the Shuswap. In the winters, she spends a lot of time sledding and skating with her daughters.

Danielle entered the education field after volunteering in a kindergarten classroom and seeing the needs present and the benefits she could offer. Watching students achieve success was so rewarding to Danielle that she decided she wanted to continue to be a part of that in a bigger way. Working as an EA keeps Danielle on her toes and has presented her with so many opportunities and challenges. She enjoys that her position allows her to be innovative and creative while also having fun, keeping her students engaged and enjoying their learning. She has appreciated the opportunity to develop relationships with all her students and has found it so rewarding watching them grow as learners and individuals.

Danielle has been with Tanbridge Academy for several years now and has truly loved every moment of it. Danielle feels very lucky to be part of the Tanbridge team that works so cohesively and is so supportive of one another. Being an educational assistant, she is lucky to have had the opportunity to work with so many of the teachers and students, which has allowed her to develop some wonderful friendships over the last few years. She truly believes Tanbridge has the best staff, students, and families. It feels a lot less like work when you enjoy the people you work with.
