Anna Sinik

Grade 1 Teacher

Anna Sinik graduated from the University of Calgary with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, followed by her Bachelor of Education from St. Mary’s University, specializing in elementary education. Anna joined the Tanbridge team after completing university and has loved every moment and experience since joining. Anna was born and raised in Calgary, playing club volleyball as a student-athlete. Anna also has volleyball coaching experience, having worked with athletes of various ages. Outside of the classroom, Anna can be found spending time with her adorable labradoodle named Murphy, spending time with family and friends and enjoying various outdoor activities.

Anna has always had a passion for working with children and has found great purpose and joy in being a teacher. Her favourite thing about teaching is building relationships with her students and fostering a love for learning and exploration in her classroom. For Anna, there is no greater reward than watching her students have an “aha” moment for a skill, concept, or task they have been working on, both inside and outside the classroom. Anna believes in learning alongside her students, taking in each experience and moment through the eyes of her learners. She strives to make each student feel like an important and valued member of their various communities.

Anna is so grateful to be part of the Tanbridge team and work alongside educators and staff who inspire, encourage, and support each other every day. She loves collaborating with like-minded staff, all working toward the same goal of helping students succeed and find their love of learning. Anna loves how the sense of community at Tanbridge allows everyone to get to know students and staff across all grade levels and provides students and staff with unique, invaluable learning experiences. Being part of the Tanbridge community inspires Anna to be the best educator she can be. Anna believes it doesn’t feel like work when you wake up every day doing what you love, and that is how she feels about being a teacher at Tanbridge.
