He has received many accolades and awards, including a Guinness Record for creating the largest mass participation street sports event in the world. He was recently recognized as a distinguished alumnus of that University and was also named to Canadian Living Magazine’s Hockey Hall of Fame.
Scott is deeply committed to community building. He has coached or volunteered as an administrator of many leagues and teams spanning many sports. He has been a member of numerous boards and committees. He recently received an appointment from the Ontario Ministry of the Attorney General to a committee that selects Justices of the Peace in that province. In 2023, Scott received a standing ovation for his work with Play On! Canada in the Alberta legislature.
