Kerry-Jade Genders-Rudolph

Grade 2 Teacher

Kerry-Jade Genders Rudolph, originally from East London, South Africa, holds a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Fort Hare and an Honours in Early Childhood Education Degree from the University of South Africa. She has a rich background in sports, including provincial water polo, which she also coached, field hockey, and dance. Kerry-Jade also enjoyed a stint as a Pro 20 Cricket Dancer/Cheerleader. In 2018, she moved to Shenzhen, China, where she taught English and P.E. and later relocated to Calgary during the COVID-19 pandemic in July 2020. Joining Tanbridge Academy in August 2023, she absolutely loves teaching the grade two students. She feels grateful for the warm welcome from the supportive and inclusive team at Tanbridge.

Outside of school, Kerry-Jade leads an active lifestyle and values spending quality time with her husband, particularly when they travel. She frequently takes to the open road on her bike, goes for runs, and relishes outdoor activities. When indoors, Kerry-Jade indulges her passion for cooking and baking.

Kerry-Jade feels blessed to be a teacher. She strives for an inclusive, collaborative classroom where everyone feels safe and welcome. She believes in creating an environment for lifelong learners as well as genuinely good community members. Kerry-Jade loves being able to help students grow and reach their full potential.

With Kerry-Jade’s sporting background, she loves how Tanbridge offers opportunities for students to keep fit and active during their school day. She is a firm believer in the positive endorphins exercise brings. Tanbridge truly is a family unit, supporting one another in good times and bad. The smaller class sizes, parental support and staff teamwork make it an amazing school to work at!
