Emily is an enthusiastic educator and dedicated lifelong learner. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Mount Royal University and an Education degree from St. Mary’s University, which equips her to become an impactful junior high teacher.

Her dual focus in sociology enriches the classroom experience by fostering an understanding of diverse backgrounds and social dynamics, promoting an inclusive environment. Through her education practicums, Emily has developed a reflective practice that emphasizes adaptability to student needs. Her hands-on experiences in classrooms have reinforced her commitment to creating a positive and engaging learning atmosphere where every student feels valued and empowered.

She prioritizes building strong relationships with students and their families, emphasizing community and collaboration in education. Her ultimate goal is to empower students to become confident, independent learners.

Outside of school, Emily enjoys quality time with family and friends and spending time outdoors. She loves traveling around Alberta and visiting British Columbia. During the summer, she works as a server at a private golf course, which allows her to enjoy the outdoors and maintain strong connections with members.

Emily is excited to start her new chapter at Tanbridge Academy, where she looks forward to contributing to a community that values innovation and collaboration. With her passion for teaching and commitment to student success, she is ready to make a lasting impact on her students.
