Heather Marshall began her teaching journey 15 years ago as an elementary educator. She is very excited to bring her experience and passion for teaching to Tanbridge Academy.
Heather graduated from the U of A in Edmonton with a B. Ed, specializing in Literacy. She soon moved overseas to England, where she could combine her love of teaching with her love of travel. In England, Heather taught Kindergarten and grades 4-6. She continued her own education by visiting many European countries and embracing different cultures during weekends and holidays. In 2008 she moved to sunny Dubai, U.A.E. There, she taught grade 3 at a high-achieving international school for a few years before starting a family.
Heather also has a passion for music. This passion eventually fused with her teaching career when she accepted a music-teaching position. The combination of her teaching experiences has cultivated her teaching style to be fun, engaging and meaningful for each child.
In 2018, Heather and her family left Dubai and embarked on 6 months of world travel. Along with her husband and three children (5, 7 and 9), they shared new experiences and learned so much together during this special time. They are now settled into their new home in Canada and are thrilled to have joined the Tanbridge family.contact
