Darren Olson, B.P.E, M.A. Ed Admin Mr. Olson joins Tanbridge Academy with over 20 years of experience. This includes a five-year tenure as Principal at Notre Dame College, the internationally renowned boarding school widely respected for its excellence in academics and sports. Mr. Olson’s contribution to Notre Dame also includes serving as their athletic director, leading the school to provincial championships in rugby, basketball, football, and soccer. As well, under Mr. Olson’s tutelage, students achieved a post-secondary enrollment rate of 90% while going on to accumulate over $5 million in academic and athletic scholarships throughout Canada and the United States. Mr. Olson oversees a hand-picked teaching staff of passionate, qualified educators with many years experience in the classroom. Their energy and enthusiasm is a continuing source of inspiration for our students. |

Kristi Fraser, B.A., B.Ed. Ms. Fraser earned her Master of Teaching degree from the University of Calgary, where she previously achieved a Bacherlor of Arts degree in Communications Studies. Ms. Fraser was a dancer throughout her schooling. She danced with The Young Canadians of the Calgary Stampede and has been a dance teacher for the past eight years. Her other interests include badminton, water and snow skiing, SCUBA diving, traveling and reading. |

Josh Hart, B.Kin., B.Ed,. M.Ed. Mr. Hart graduated in 2005 from the University of Calgary with degrees in Kinesiology and Education. He recently completed his M.Ed. degree at the U of C with an Educational Technology specialization in June 2009. Outside of school, Mr. Hart has coached community hockey for nine seasons, and worked at a residential sports camp in California for seven summers. At Tanbridge Academy, in addition to teaching Grade 6, he works as the Athletic Director, organizing Tanbridge Academy’s school participation in Junior High sports within the Calgary Independent Schools Athletic Association. Mr. Hart enjoys spending time on the ice during the occasional hockey session as an extra goalie for his students to shoot at (but very rarely score on).

Jane Roberts, B.A., B.Ed. Born and raised in rural Nova Scotia, Jane joins Tanbridge Academy with an extensive background in English Language Arts and Social Studies. Jane studied in Halifax, Nova Scotia where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics at Saint Mary’s University followed by her Bachelor of Education degree at Mount Saint Vincent University. Her additional teacher training includes International Baccalaureate High School English A1 and she holds a certificate in Teaching English to Second Language Learners. Growing up in a small community, Jane spent many hours at the arena where she trained and competed as a figure skater at the provincial level. She has been coaching power skating and learn-to-skate programs for the past 12 years, which led to her initial interest in teaching. Jane is delighted to be part of the Tanbridge team and is excited about her future at Tanbridge Academy. |

Tim Gordon, B.A., B.Ed. Mr. Gordon holds degrees in Education, Physical Education and Criminal Justice. His background in competitive athletics is extensive, both as a collegiate tennis player in the US and as an administrator and mentor to elite athletes of various ages. On the business side of sport, Mr. Gordon has worked as Director of Marketing and Promotions for both the universities of Lethbridge and Saskatchewan. Mr. Gordon's organization and communication skills, combined with his love of reading, make him a natural hand at teaching Language Arts and Social Studies. |

Jillian Grant, B.Sc., B.Ed. A native of Antigonish, Nova Scotia, Ms. Grant holds degrees in Kinesiology and Education from St. Francis Xavier University. She credits her participation in hockey and softball throughout her schooling (including in University) as a major influence in shaping who she is today. Ms. Grant has coached hockey and minor soccer and worked and volunteered in sports camps, Special Olympics, and after-school fitness programs. She loves interacting with kids and appreciates the role of fun in the classroom. |

Lea Gould, B.Ed. Madame Gould is a native Calgarian. At the age of 19 she took her first teaching job in Red Deer, returning to Calgary in the summers to work on her B.Ed, which she completed in 1974. She taught in Calgary, Edmonton and Medicine Hat before returning to Calgary for good in 1984. Madame Gould has been both a French specialist and an elementary generalist throughout her teaching career. In 2007 she retired from the CBE. Madame Gould is thrilled to be part of the teaching team at Tanbridge, where her pastimes of cycling, fitness classes and skiing make her a natural fit for our school. |

Rick Alexander, B. A. Physical Education Mr. Alexander oversees the hockey program for Tanbridge Academy. His experience is extensive: after playing Junior and University level hockey, he played and coached professionally in Europe for over 25 years. As an educator, Mr. Alexander ran his own hockey schools in Germany and Switzerland. Since 2001 he has specialized in elite hockey development for all ages here in Calgary. He has a degree in Physical Education from the University of Calgary. Through his abilities as a coach and mentor, Mr. Alexander has seen many of his players go on to professional careers in hockey. |

Tammi Jennings Tammy brings 10 years of experience to her role as Administrative Assistant. Prior to joining Tanbridge, she worked at River Valley School after moving from the Okanagan. When she’s not holding down the front lines, Tammy enjoys bowling, reading, cooking and watching movies. Tammy and her husband, Mike, have been married for one year and are starting a family. |

Nick Koev Mr. Koev is grounded in a European soccer tradition, having played, trained, and coached professionally for most of his adult life. After five years of professional play he held high-profile coaching positions in Bulgaria and Germany, including being Head Coach of the National Team of the Bulgarian National Army, and Head Coach of the LSV Luneberg, Germany, Youth Team. Mr. Koev served as Trainer for CSKA Sofia, Bulgaria's largest and most successful soccer team. He has trained players in Canada since 1998. Graduates of Mr. Koev's soccer programs in Calgary have gone on to play professionally in the U.S., Europe, and Canada. |

David Robb, M.A. Ed Mr. Robb has spent the last 32 years coaching in Canada, the US, New Zealand, and Europe. His background includes all levels of instruction , from high school, to college, to professional coaching for teams like the Visalia Oaks, Single A affiliate of the Oakland A’s. Past posts include Assistant Coach of Team Canada, Manager of the Italian Junior National Team, Field Manager for numerous collegiate league teams, and community college instructor. In addition to his M.A. in Education, Mr. Robb holds a B.Sc. in Criminal Justice. He has developed instructional materials, including web sites, for a number of training courses. Both in the classroom and on the field. Mr. Robb has inspired countless athletes and trainers to pursue their passion for baseball. |
